“A fight is going on inside me” a Cherokee elder said to his grandson. It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

One is evil, he is anger, sorrow, greed, arrogance, self pity, lies, guilt, resentment, false pride, superiority, and ego.

One is good, he is truth, peace, love, humility, hope, kindness, generosity, compassion, and faith.

The same fight is going on inside of you and inside of every person.

The boy thought about it and then asked his grandfather “Which wolf will win?”

The elder simply replied, “The one you feed.”
